Subhash Arora, President
of the Indian Wine Academy has been invited as a Guest Speaker
to talk about Wine and Health at the Red Wine, Tea, Chocolate
and Health Conference being organised in Philadelphia, USA
on October 1.
The conference has been organised by Oliver
& Company Tea Room in conjunction with the nationally
acclaimed Prostate Cancer Awareness Week being held from
September 24-28.
Says Brenda Board, a Tea Chef and a French
Wine Sommelier, 'Red wine, tea and chocolates all have strong
anti-oxidants. We are glad to have the rare presence of
Mr. Subhash Arora, as he is the finest spokesperson in India
on wine.'
Arora has been a regular visitor at the
International Wine and Heart Health Conference, held in
Napa Valley every two years under the aegis of Desert heart
Foundation, Arizona. Top cardiologists from around the world,
wine connoisseurs and educators from UC Davies and medical
doctors producing wine congregate for three days to discuss
the latest studies on wine and health . Prof. Serge Renaud
and Dr. Curt Ellison, Dr. Tedd Goldberg, Dr. Arthur Klatsky
and Prof. Andrew Waterhouse of UC Davies are regular particpants
.
Arora has spoken on the subject to many
groups. A conference was also organised by him through the
Delhi Wine Club a couple of years ago in collaboration with
the French Embassy. Titled, 'After French Paradox', the
panel had a discussion on various health aspects of wine.
As a part of the conference, the lecture
will be delivered at the Sheraton University City Hotel,
Philadelphia in the evening. It is a ticketed event at $75
a person.
