Sankalp Winery of Vinchur Wine Park, Nashik has started marketing their Vinsura vineyard wine s in Delhi too. At Rs. 340 a bottle (750ml), the white Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and the red Zinfandel are very aggressively priced. Half bottles are also available at Rs.170/175 in these labels.

‘We are selling our wine s at the lowest price anywhere in India ', said Prahlad Khadangale, the farmer-Director of the wine ry at a Press Conference in Delhi yesterday. ‘We had listed these special prices in Gujarat where we have no marketing or financial costs due to our tie-up. The excise rules in Delhi are such that we were required to match the lowest prices. So the Delhi customers can buy our wine s cheaper than even Bombay ', said Mr. Khadangale. Also present were the Director, Mr. Nata and the M.D. Mr. Kishore Holkar who info rmed me that the company is in the process of expansion, especially for Sauvignon Blanc which is getting more popular. He also assured me that they are committed to high quality and are always looking for latest technology to help improve their wine s.

Vinsura wine s are being distributed in Delhi by Hema Connoisseur Collections, who are already marketing several imported wine s in their own account and as excise license holders for other importers like Sovereign Impex Pvt Ltd, dealing in Chilean and Italian wine s. ‘Sankalp wine s are already being sold in a couple of outlets in Delhi . By next week over 20 more outlets will be added and very soon, it will be available in most vends of Delhi ', confirmed Amit Agarwal, a partner in the firm.
