The newly opened (less than a year) bar at the Park Hotel in Connaught Place, New Delhi has bagged the Editor's Choice Award from the HT City Night Out Guide in the Best Five-Star Nightspot/ Bar category for the current year. Though the Guide considers no longer cool to hang out at a five-star place, this bar is totally packed with young and not-so-young crowd, especially during the weekends. The Guide just hitting the newsstands has also recognized several other categories, details of which can be seen in the HT City.

Delhi Wine Club is particularly pleased with the Award, as we had organized our first 'Cheese and Wine Evening' at this bar earlier this year. It was attended by a record number of over 90 members and guests. Though a few members felt slightly out of place, most enjoyed the evening with 6 different wines, several cheese varieties and delicious snacks provided by the hotel. With a DJ dishing out popular numbers and a running audio-visual of Ca'Marcanda, the famous Gaja Winery in Tuscany and our other Events in the background, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening that well conveyed the message that one can have a great time with only wine as the elixir.

Of course, the bar also won the Award on the basis of the excellent cocktails offered.
