Delhi Wine
Club has been declared as the Best Wine Club in India
by a survey conducted by Wine-Business-International
in April, 2007. The results published in the June
issue of the magazine, also mention the Best in eight
other categories. WBI is a magazine focussing on the
business of wine and is published in Duesseldorf,
Germany by Meininger. Here is the text:
5. Best Wine Club
'Wine Club culture has been slowly
catching on in India, with cities beyond the big three
also capturing some of the action. The Delhi Wine
Club was an almost unanimous top choice. This could
be due to its educational website ,which displays
the club activities in detail and also keeps the visitors
informed about the wine scene in India. with 'news,
which is up-to-date and important for wine enthusiasts'.
The Bangalore Wine Club , perhaps the first of its
kind in India, was voted second and the Wine Society
in Delhi was also mentioned.
