A five-day
national-level trade fair 'Krishi:2007,' organised
jointly by Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry
& Agriculture (MACCIA) and Nashik based Media Exhibitors
began in Nashik yesterday.
The 5th Edition of International
Agricultural Trade Fair & Conferences is being
held in Dongre Vastigriha Ground on Gangapur Road
in Nashik from November 29 to December 3 . This trade
fair focuses on the Global Agro Innovations &
huge potential of Indian Agriculture market which
is attracting the attention of the world.
Providing an ultimate platform for
technologically savvy minds, farmers & Government
Officials to create better solutions for Indian Agricultural
Industry is the Show objective.
The highlight of the event is the
India Wine Show, which is expected to see participation
of around 27 wineries from across the country. O rganised
every two years, this Show caters to not only the
grape growers but also to the wine manufacturers and
end consumers as well. Last India Wine Show was held
in 2005..
"Around 350 companies, including
agri input companies, wineries and nationalised banks
are participating in this mega trade fair. The exhibition
will focus on the challenges faced by farmers, wine
industry, needs of the agrarian community in future
and new agricultural trends." said Digvijay Kapdiya
of Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce , Industry &
Agriculture (MACCIA)- joint organisers of the Fair.
The expo will also have seminars
on different topics by eminent personalities and experts,
which include Changdeo Holkar, chairman, Nafed, Rajeev
Samant, executive director, Sula Wines, and Jaideep
Kale, technical co-ordinator, Grape Wine Park, MIDC.
