"In my role as business development manager at Primegrape – an international exporter of wine and food product - it was my first wine and cheese tasting in India which I hosted together with the DWI.
It was a great experience as the participants were very interested in knowing everything about the different types of wine and cheese presented during the event. According to the feedback most popular seemed to be one of our Rieslings as well as a red Cuvee made out of Pinot Noir, Lemberger and Dornfelder. Among the different types of cheese the spicier varieties with herbs and chilli were preferred by the majority.
We at Primegrape are passionate about introducing a wine culture to India and appreciate the efforts Subhash has undertaken in the last years in that direction. We are planning to host further events in the whole of India with a focus on wine education."
For the wine and cheese tasting hosted by Primegrape and the Delhi Wine Club we picked wines from 3 different top-wine producing regions in Germany . All the wineries listed below have top positions in national and international wine lists and produce award winning wines.

Description:
The beautiful village of Durbach is located in Badenia, the sunny southern part of Germany . Typical for its topography are its steep wine hills and little valleys which surround the golden wine village of Durbach with its many black forest timbered houses. A good amount of sun at moderate temperatures between May and October allows a long ripening process of the wine grapes bringing out the qualities and fine nuances of German wines (especially the white varieties) which are appreciated all over the world.
Furthermore the consistency of the ground of the Durbacher region (porphyry and granite) is another factor for the success of the winery's main producst: Riesling, Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) and Sauvigon Blanc. Especially Durbacher's Riesling and Spätburgunder wines have specially been regularly awarded with many national and international prizes.
